![]() There are perspective clients that want quality over quantity and others that want quantity over quality. Each serves it purpose and each does not. What I mean by that is, with quality that speaks for itself. If you want tons of entertainment at a low cost you are running the risk of certain conditions. First and for most you cannot possibly pay your workers well and keep your loyalty abundant. You run the risk of having certain qualities that stand out. You run the risk of having people not remembering your services which reflect on the client and there is nothing worse then an unhappy host. I for one like to be at my events to oversee production. In this business and in all businesses, time is money, Yes.. But so is great customer service. When you walk away from a job well done you have a sense of pride in knowing you have built a great client base for your company. When I first started this company my main source of booked gigs were primarily word of mouth. I relied on people having a great experience and I still do! Here is what goes into a booking for me. When my phone rings I will take down all of the information about the client. I will get the who, what , when and where's. The why we already know. I will also need to know how they found me because I need to know where my marketing budget is going. So once all that information is established I will book the client. That all seems so easy. Well it is so much more than that. There is insurance, products, maintenance, paperwork, emails, advertising, social media, blogs and tons of other things that are put into just one booking. Most customers never realize the time and effort that goes into making their day special. By no means does all this work force me to hate this career choice. In fact it is just the opposite. Being an entrepreneur and working for myself is extremely rewarding. You have to be dedicated, driven, organized, happy and reliable. Once you start understanding your strengths and weaknesses you will know where you need the most help. It is hard to keep up the pace daily so having a list of things to do helps keep you organized. One of my English professors once said to me "Keep on doing what you are doing, put one foot in front of the other and you will eventually get where you are going". The best advice I ever received and that is my advice to you. Have a blessed summer. Andrea Colletti Owner and Operator of Fun4UFaces and ArtistrybyAndie
